2015 Sault Ste. Marie Armouries

In October 2015, Avery Construction began work at the Sault Ste. Marie Armouries Site on Pine Street in Sault Ste. Marie. Our work consists of some storm sewer installation, parking lot and roadway re-construction, and some foundation waterproofing.

2015 Essar LMF #2 Project

Avery had the opportunity of working alongside Ellis Don inside Essar Steel Algoma where we had the site services work for the new LMF Facility. Our work consisted of foundation excavation and back fill, storm sewer and water main installation, etc. The our work on this project was completed in early January 2016.

2015 Upton Rd.

We were awarded the Reconstruction of Upton Road in the spring of 2015. Our work consists of all concrete and asphalt removals, replacement of all sewer and water mains and services, re-construction of road base and all restoration. This work is being done for The City of Sault Ste. Marie.

2015 Bridge Plaza Project Package A – Sault Ste. Marie

In spring of 2015, Avery Construction was awarded the site excavation for this project which involved sewer and water installations as well as building excavation and backfill, demolition of existing buildings and parking lot construction. This particular project is scheduled to be completed in three stages and isn’t scheduled for completion until mid-late 2018. We are subcontracted by Ellis Don on this project.

2015 Fort Creek Aqueduct Construction – By-Pass Aqueduct Through Esposito Park

We were subcontracted by Jobst Construction to do the civil site work and road re-construction for the Fort Creek Aqueduct Construction through Esposito Park in the Spring of 2015. The work consisted of the excavation for the new Aqueduct, replacement of existing sanitary sewer and the re-construction of the roadway.

2014 Northside Mazda

In spring 2014, Avery Construction broke the ground for the new Northside Mazda building located in Sault Ste. Marie. Our work consisted of building excavation and backfill, sewer and water service installations and commissioning, parking lot construction and some additional work to the existing retention pond. We were subcontracted by Jobst Construction on this project.

2014 Second Line Widening – Phase Two

In the Spring of 2014, Avery Construction was awarded the contract for the installation of sanitary and storm pipe as well as the reconstruction and widening of the approximately 700 meter stretch of road. Our work consisted of approximately 700 meters of sanitary pipe and approximately 430 meters of concrete storm pipe, manholes and catch basins, road and sidewalk construction and the installation of a retaining wall.

2014 Town Line and Base Line Bridges

In the spring of 2014, Avery Construction was awarded the contract to replace four bridges on Town Line and Base Line Road in Sault Ste. Marie as part of a two year plan. Construction Began in Mid-June 2014 and consisted of the closure of the road at two bridge locations and removal of two bridges and   installation of new replacement bridges as well as reconstruction of each bridge approach. Replacement of the remaining two bridges as part of this contract are to be completed by the end of 2015.

2013 Bridge Plaza Project Package B – Sault Ste. Marie

Avery Construction was subcontracted by George Stone and Sons for the site excavation for this project which involves some sewer and water installations as well as building excavation and backfill and parking lot construction and the construction of a retaining wall. Our work commenced in late December of 2013.

Beginning in late May 2015, we began the next phase of the Bridge Plaza Modernization Project.

2013 St. Mary’s High School Site Work

Avery Construction was recently awarded the contract for the civil work for the new St. Mary’s High School in Sault Ste. Marie. We are working for Tambro Construction on this project which includes building excavation and backfill, parking lot construction, utility installations including sanitary sewer and plumbing/electrical installation. We began digging in late October 2013.
