Avery Construction Ltd. is a truly diverse construction company. With Avery’s diversity, we see daily challenges based on new types of projects and work activities. Our key element to successfully managing and completing these diverse challenges is our people. We developed our safety program to ensure that the risks associated with our diverse environment can be eliminated to protect our employees. Providing a safe work environment and ensuring all employees work safely is our job and our duty. No job we do or service we provide is so urgent that we cannot take the time to review the hazards inherent to the task and ensure the hazards have been mitigated or eliminated.

Protecting our employees each day is a culture that must be instilled at every level of employment in our company. Working together we can ensure our employees go home healthy and safe each day. By doing so we not only protect our employees, but we protect the future of Avery Construction Ltd. A safe and caring work environment improves moral, production, and makes us the employer of choice in our industry.

Management must take the role of leader in our culture of safety first. By providing the tools and implementing our policies and procedures we can tackle any safety issue immediately and with successful resolve. In addition to management, each level of employment must be accountable for safety at their respective work locations by complying with and enforcing our safety policies and procedures. Personal protective equipment must always be worn by all employees on all sites. It is each employee and contractor’s responsibility to make sure anyone on your site is protected, including management. Employees must be engaged in daily planning, toolbox talks and hazard assessment and mitigation processes for effective accident and incident prevention.

Safety is a top priority for our company and our people. Working together, our intent is for each employee to safely return home to their loved ones. We must all do our part, to achieve our goal of an accident free workplace that is healthy and successful.
