In June 2017 Avery Construction was awarded the contract to reconstruct an existing seawall along the waterfront on Bay Street in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Our work consisted of the removal of an existing sheet pile wall, the supply and placement of rip rap material and associated landscaping.
Avery Construction performed the civil portion of the expansion to ARCH hospice in Sault Ste. Marie during the summer of 2017. Our work consisted of foundation excavation and backfill, sanitary sewer service, drainage upgrades and site grading. This work was completed for Jobst Construction.
Avery Construction was awarded the contract for the civil component of the E-Wing IE3 Re-Development at Sault College Site in Sault Ste. Marie. Our work generally consisted of watermain and storm sewer upgrades and some minor underground utility upgrades. We were hired by Cyrheault Construction for this project.
Avery Construction was awarded the contract for the civil component of the installation of the Auger Grinder Facility located at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre in Sault Ste. Marie. This work generally consisted of foundation excavation and backfill, installation of 250mm SDR35 Sanitary Pipe and two manholes. We were hired by Cyrheault Construction.
Avery Construction was awarded the contract for the civil component of an addition to the existing Northside Toyota Building in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. Our work consists of the removal of existing asphalt, excavation and backfill of foundations, prep for floor slab, installation of oil separator units and realignment of existing water main. This work began in December 2017 and will continue through the winter.
In Summer 2017 Avery Construction was awarded the contract to complete some upgrades to the Prince Lake Road in Prince Township. Our work generally consisted of some minor blasting, re-grading of the existing road to allow a more desirable grade, rip rap protection and guard rail installation.
In the fall of 2017, we were awarded the contract for the removal of existing curb and asphalt, grading of existing granulars, installation of new curb and asphalt at the Great Lakes Forestry Research Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, ON.
In the spring of 2017, Avery Construction was awarded the re-construction of Grace Street in Sault Ste. Marie,ON. Our work began in July 2017 and was completed on schedule. Our scope consisted of the removal of existing roadway and services, the installation of the new Storm, Sanitary and Watermain, re-construction of the roadway and restoration.
In the Spring of 2016, Avery Construction was selected by Jobst Construction to do the civil portion of the Fort Creek Aqueduct between Albert Street and Cathcart Street. Our work included the excavation and backfill for the aqueduct structure, the removal and installation of water main, sanitary and storm sewers as well as the reconstruction of the roadway and all restoration.
In the Spring of 2016, Avery Construction was awarded the contract for the reconstruction of Second Avenue in Sault Ste. Marie, ON between Wallace Terrace and Connaught Avenue. The scope included the removal and installation of watermain and services, sanitary sewer main and services and storm sewer main and service as well as the re-construction of the roadway including curb, sidewalk, asphalt and all restoration.
